About Threads of Love
Threads of Love is an outreach stitching ministry that strives to provide for some of the physical needs of tiny infants, while showing God's love to the babies' parents and families.
The Sew Caring Chapter of Threads of Love donates to Children's Hospital and Medical Center and the neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU) at Swedish Medical Center. We deliver items every two-three months.
We collect the items at St. John's church in Room 1. There is a white laundry basket for donations. You can bring items to our regular Tuesday Evening stitching circles or bring them into the church during office hours. If you bring them during office hours let the parish administrator know they are for Threads of Love. Call if you need to make other arrangements.

Meeting Information:
During most of the year we have regular stitching circles on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 PM; we are take a break in December and restart in January. In addition to this, once every quarter or so we have a daytime potluck. You do not need to come to participate, many people work independently. If you cannot come but need to get patterns or supplies please contact: Kate McCormick.
Donations to Threads of Love:
Goods: Soft and washable are the key needs. You can bring goods to any of our gatherings. If that is not possible you can contact either Kate McCormick or Vicky H ood to make other arrangements. Remember that we can use partial balls of yarn since many garments are tiny. If you need a receipt for tax purposes please let us know at the time of the donation and we will have the administrator send you a letter from the church, which is a 501(c)3.
Money: We are happy to receive gift cards to fabric stores or money. Checks should be made out to Saint John the Baptist Episcopal Church with "Threads of Love" on the memo line (this is VERY important if you wish to get the money to Threads of Love and not the general fund). Please give money to either Vicky or Kate so we can keep accurate accounts.
